Tips for Great Knowledge@Noon Webinars

Tips for Great Knowledge@Noon Webinars

1. Creating Your PowerPoint Presentation

•Remember, simpler is better. Too much text will distract your viewers from your presentation.

•Create a presentation that persuades, not informs.

•Your presentation should link what the audience needs to your goal. Shift the presentation from features of your product to benefits of your product to the audience.

•Be able to clearly answer the audience question of “What’s in it for Me?”

2. The Do's and Don't of Successful PowerPoint Presentations

Do's

• Write an opening and closing to your presentation.

• Include a short company overview and introduction of the presenter.

• Create a list of questions for the end of your presentation in case the audience does not ask any. Often, attendees just don’t want to be the first to ask a question.

• Practice your presentation and edit ruthlessly.

• Use a consistent non-script font of 24 points or higher. Recommended fonts are Arial and Times New Roman.

• If you have a lot of data, break it up into seperate slides. Aim for no more than 3 or 4 points on each slide.

Dont's

• Include too much text per slide! Viewers should be focusing on what you have to say about the product, not trying to read what's on the screen.

• Include cluttered charts or too many slides.

• Use animations or effects. BlueVolt has to remove them before your Webinar.

• Use script-like fonts or font sizes below 24 points. Small fonts make it difficult for viewers to read your slides.

3. Promote Promote Promote!

• Enlist the assistance of your field sales team to drive Affiliate attendance.

• Each Affiliate should be contacted about your Knowledge@Noon.

4. Rehearse Rehearse Rehearse

The more rehearsals before the launch date, the better the presentation will look and flow.

• There is no such thing as too much rehearsal; after we establish the camera placement, the best lighting and finalize the script wording, its time to focus on the flow.

• The more often you do the presentation the more comfortable and natural it will become, so it won’t seem like you are reading.

5. Presentation Location and Background

• A good, simple background is essential.

.• Determine where you will be during your presentation so we can set up the camera and figure out the best lighting for that location prior to the event.

6. On the Day Tips

• Wear a solid color. Wearing patterns will distract your viewers from your product's message.

• Speak slowly and loudly. Your viewers are listening long-distance. Adjust your voice accordingly.

• Be yourself and have fun! People like it when you are human; they’ll pay better attention and appreciate that they are not in another stuffy boring webinar.
