WYSIWYG, What You See Is What You Get, is a tool integrated into the platform that allows you to add content in your university without the use of a tradition HTML editor that requires coding. WYSIWIG lets the user to view the presentation of content as it is being created, instead of waiting to see what university changes look like after publishing.

Preview
Use the page symbol with the magnifying glass in front to preview content typed in the WYSIWYG text box. When you click the preview button, you open a preview of your page in your university in a different browser tab.
SCAYT - Spell Check As You Type
Hover over the dropdown button with "ABC." Click "Enable SCAYT." You have now activated spell-check in WYSIWYG. This allows you to edit text in the text box without having to copy/paste text from other documents.
iFrame - Embed External Content
The globe icon will open a pop-up window where you can import a website link and choose how the content on that page will display within your university.
Paste HTML Code Into WYSIWYG
If you have HTML code you would like to import into the WYSIWYG tool;
- Open the page in your admin account that displays the WYSIWYG function ex. Course [Your Course Name] > Display > Detail Page
- Click on the "<> Source" button
- Paste the HTML code into the text box
- Click on the "Preview" button next to the "<> Source" button
- Confirm that your code displays the content accurately in the external window
- Return back to the WYSIWYG to see code displayed as an HTML page
