Course families are a feature of the course catalog where admins can link between 2+ courses, creating a group of courses on the back end. Course families offer a way to organize courses based on similarities in content.

When a course family might be useful:
- Grouping multiple versions of a single course
- Grouping a single course provided in multiple languages
- Limiting $BlueBucks redemptions between multiple versions of a course
Create A Course Family:
- Go to My University > Catalog > Course Families
- Click Add New Course Family
- Once at the "Course Family Management" page, give the course family a title under "Course Family"

If you have other university administrators, it might be useful to select "yes" so that they can edit the course family. Otherwise, select "No" if you would like the course family to be restricted.
- Select your university name in the dropdown under "University"

Select the category the courses are in, in the drop down. If the courses do not belong to a category select "--Uncategorized--"
- Now select the first course you would like to enter into the family under the "Course" drop down.
- Click the blue link "Add Course to Family" and the course will display below
- To add more courses to the course family, repeat steps 5 to 8, by adding another course under
"Add Courses To Family." -
Now that you've added all of your courses you can save the course family by clicking "Save."
View Existing Course Families
- Go to My University > Catalog > Course Families
- Search for the name of your course family, Ctrl + F can be useful if you have multiple course families or course families across multiple universities.
- Your course family will display similarly to the example below.
